Central to managing the marine environment is collecting data appropriately and effectively, and then translating these data into predictions and an understanding of causal mechanisms.

The Centre for Marine Futures places a premium on experimental design and statistical modelling with expertise in developing designs to test for environmental impacts as well as aspatial and spatial sampling designs for marine monitoring.

Additional areas of expertise include univariate and multivariate modelling.
